With sincere regret, I write to inform you that Major (retired) Murray Cambell Edwards passed  away 14 October 2023, at the Broadmead Lodge in Victoria, British Columbia at 103 years. Murray was a Korean War  veteran, serving with 2PPCLI in various battles including the Battle of Kapyong as a Platoon  Commander in B Company.

After the Korean War, he continued to serve with the Regiment. Highlights include being the  First Canadian Liaison Officer in Cyprus in 1964, being a veteran of Canadian peacekeeping  service in both Palestine and Damascus, commanding a 1PPCLI Company in Germany, and  Commanding a 1PPCLI jump Company in Calgary.
