John Gribble, beloved husband of Patricia Gribble (nee Teunissen), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the age of 62 years.
John was born in Powell River, BC, on August 7, 1960. He moved to Victoria, BC at a very young age with his mother and two brothers.
He joined the Canadian Military in 1977 in British Columbia and was transferred to Alberta in 1984, where he made his home. John met Patricia in Calgary, AB in 1993, at the time he decided to leave the military and was released in 1993. John married Patricia in 1995.
John accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his professional driving career as a truck driver from 1993-2017. His last job was a driving instructor for AMA, he enjoyed teaching the young adults to drive. In 2018 Veterans Affairs told him to retire and enjoy his life, due to personal problems. He will be most remembered for his hard work and dedication.
John loved to fish, camp and travel. He enjoyed wildlife photography, and he would track down the animals and his wife would take pictures, sometimes he was the bait. John also worked hard on his archery. He was training and participating in competitions, but cancer took over and he could no longer continue.
Besides his loving wife Patricia, John is also survived by his two brothers, one sister-in-law and two nephews all living in British Columbia. He was predeceased by his parents.
