Jim Huntley passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the age of 83 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Colleen; son, Jason (Jen); daughter, Audrey; 2 granddaughters, Meadow and Allyssa; as well as numerous friends.
Jim served 26 years in the military with PPCLI, he was an Atomic Veteran, he was also a part of the peace keeping mission in Cypress. Once retiring he worked at Canada Post as a letter carrier. Jim had a love for horses that started with Appaloosas and then to Quarter horses, taking great joy in the raising of foals.
Jim and Colleen enjoyed travelling with a fondness of Maui and spending winters in Arizona. At Jim’s request no service will be held. In lieu of flowers a donation in Jim’s memory may be made to the Turner Valley Royal Canadian Legion, 12 Sunset Blvd E, Diamond Valley, AB, T0L 2A0 or the Ahlzeimers Society, 800 – 7015 Macleod Trail SW, Calgary, AB, T2H 2K6.
