Howard Craig Howard, a veteran of the Canadian Military and beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2023, at the age of 61.

Craig was born in 1961 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to parents John and Valerie Howard. He joined the Canadian Military, at a very young age, celebrating his 18th birthday in bootcamp. Craig’s character was shaped through his experiences in the Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry. Craig served for almost two decades, and through this time he travelled the world; serving his country with bravery and honour. Craig was extremely proud of his service and remembered his time in the military fondly.

After leaving the military, Craig pursued a career in engineering technology working as a Certified Engineering Technologist. He had a successful career working for several companies over the years, always making good friends wherever he worked.

Craig was a man of many passions and talents. He was an avid F-1 fan and enjoyed playing hockey in the Burlington Old Timers. He also enjoyed building ponds and tending to his garden.

Above all, Craig was known for his kindness and warm smile. He had a way of making everyone feel special and loved, and his infectious laugh could brighten anyone’s day.

Craig was a devoted husband to his wife Susan, and a loving father to his three children, Adam, David and Sydney. He was also a proud grandfather to his grandson Theo, whom he adored.

Craig will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warmth and generosity will be remembered and cherished forever.

Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street, Burlington, on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Rest in peace, Howard Craig Howard. Your service to your country and your kindness to others will never be forgotten, and you will be forever missed and always loved.
