2023 Imjin Classic Hockey Game

Fellow Patricias,
On 27 October 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Canadian Army will host the Imjin
Classic Hockey Game between the PPCLI and the R22eR to commemorate a game played between the
two regiments while serving in the Korean War on 11 March 1952. This year’s game will commemorate
the 70 th year since the Korean Armistice and the 71 st Anniversary since the original game.
The game will occur at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario. Timings (all approximate) as follows:
 13:30hrs 27 Oct 2023 – Doors open to public at TD Place Arena
 14:30hrs 27 Oct 2023 – Opening Ceremonies
 15:00hrs 27 Oct 2023 – CAF General Officers/Flag Officers versus Defence Attachés and
Parliament Hill
 16:20hrs 27 Oct 2023 – R22eR versus PPCLI
 18:00hrs 27 Oct 2023 – Postgame reception
