As I believe all are aware, the $250k project to restore and repair the East Window at St Bart’s has been completed. The funds raised by the HGMF to support the the project, 10% of the total, have been passed to the Church Foundation. Many thanks to all who supported the fund-raising, and in particular the Estate of Bill Hewson, which contributed a very significant portion of the total.
In celebration of the completion of the project the Church has prepared an hour-long documentary video on the history of the “Geddes Ottawa Window” (Wilhelmina Geddes was the Irish stained glass artist commissioned by the Duke of Connaught to create the window.) The video, directed by Canon David Clunie, Is entitled “In the Company of Angels”. It traces the development of the Church and in particular the Window. The association of the Patricia’s with St Bart’s is covered (mostly correctly) from 5:45 to 9:40.
