21 Nov 1929 – 29 Jan 2024 (94)
FINCH, ROBERT HARRY “BOB” November 21, 1929 – January 29, 2024 After 94 years of fighting off cancer, pneumonia, covid, cardiac arrest and COPD, Bob passed away at Mississauga Hospital in the early hours of January 29th. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Dolly (Hallet); son, Robert; and brother, Fred (Joan). Surviving are his brothers, Jim, 90 (Marion deceased) and Ed “Ted”, 91, and his wife, Bernice “Bea”. Bob worked at various jobs before retiring from Sears Canada. His fondest memories though, were of his years with the PPCLI, where he earned his wings as a paratrooper and later years as a member of the Shriners and his role as BoBo the clown. At his request, he has taken his wings with him. Bob knew that Dolly’s greatest fear was of being alone so he has now gone to join her in their eternal sleep. Ted and Bea looked after Bob for many years. Their children and grandchildren became his family. They will all greatly miss his presence in their lives. A private funeral has been held. Special thanks to the staff of Jerrett Funeral Home for their compassionate and caring support while making all the requested arrangements.
