Murray Craig Simser (03 December 1952 – 13 July 2023)
Murray Craig Simser passed away on 13 July 2023 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 70. Murray (born in Toronto, Ontario, 1952) will be survived by his loving wife Nancy. He was a loving father of Todd (w. Andrea), Steven “Scuba” (w. Stephanie), Patrick (w. Alyssia), and Krista (h. Mark). Grandfather to 6 grandchildren (Claire, Olivia, Mia, Everett, Astrid & Clint). Also, brother to Christine, Bradford, James (deceased), Elizabeth, Mark, Theresa, and Frances.
Murray enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening & growing plants, going for drives, BBQ & fires in the backyard, relaxing in the garage (with some libations), but most of all he enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends. He was a funny, kind, loving, hardworking, sentimental, and an honourable man.
Murray was a soldier in the PPCLI from 1970-1974, and enjoyed taking care of the flowers at the Legion in Onaping Falls ensuring the flowers were kept in pristine military state. He was a Heavy Equipment Diesel mechanic for Falconbridge/Glencore until his retirement in 2015. He has been a long-standing resident of Dowling since 1984 with wife Nancy.
