Ron passed away peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Joy (Rousseaux) for 54 years. Loved father of the late Courtney and his wife Adrienne, Justin and his wife Kayla. Cherished grandfather of Abigail, Kaitlin, Emma and Mia. Brother of Earl (late Donna), the late Joyce Kelly (late Bill), Barbara Purvis (Craig), the late Mac (Sue) and Denise Nixon (Rod).

Ron was a soldier with the Canadian Armed Forces where he proudly served in the Airborne under the 2 Battalion P.P.C.L.I. (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry).

Ron worked with the Canada Revenue Agency for over 14 years as a Senior Audit Manager, and prior to that he was a Verifications Officer with the Ministry of Revenue. In 1993, he made a career change by returning to the private industry where he formed his own Financial and Tax Planning Firm-Today and Tomorrow Financial Planning Inc. located in Burlington.

Ron worked extremely hard over the years, and he was recognized by Manulife for his exceptional performance, participating in the “Master Builders” program. He achieved a “5-star Master Builder” status in this program which placed him among the top advisors in Canada.

In his spare time, Ron volunteered for years with Scouts Canada serving as a leader and enjoyed coaching baseball with both of his sons.

Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday May 3, 2024, from 3pm – 5pm and 7pm – 9pm. A Private Funeral Service will take place.
